Note: "What" and "for" can be separated--with "for" at the end of the question:

A: "Are you going to Sandra's party?"
B: "I'll be there with bells on!"





would ('d) just as soon: would ('d) rather; prefer.

"I know we have a lot of work to do, but I'm tired. I'd just as soon leave
and finish tomorrow. Is that OK with you?"
